An engineer who actually runs the businesses on camera

I'm Nick Spisak — builder, entrepreneur, and technical co-founder of Return My Time. My work sits at the intersection of AI and practical business implementation.

I spent 15 years in corporate as a software engineer and software architect at The Vanguard Group, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. That background gave me deep fluency in systems design and how technology connects to business outcomes.

In 2021 I started moonlighting between 8 PM and midnight, using my technical skills to find products I could resell. That side hustle grew into an Amazon brand-management business.

Starting in 2024 I went deep on applying AI across my own businesses. That experience became the foundation for Return My Time, where we help business owners turn AI into measurable ROI. Our framework is AOA: Audit, Optimize, Automate.

Today I run a small portfolio of companies, increasingly operated by AI agents I built — and I document the systems as I install them. I write practitioner-level content on X (30+ articles, 6.5M+ views) and built a complete second brain live on the Build With AI podcast, episode #156. I'm a dad, and most of this gets built after the kids are asleep.
